How Mobiz Payroll handles the personal and payroll data entrusted to it.

Who we are
Mobiz Payroll is a payroll and human resources management service operated by Mobiz.mu for employers in Mauritius, at mobizpayroll.com.
For the employee data you enter, your organisation is the data controller and Mobiz Payroll acts as a data processor on your instructions.
Data we process
Account data: the names, email addresses and phone numbers of the people who use the service on your behalf.
Company data: your legal and trading names, registration numbers, addresses, contact details and payroll configuration.
Employee data: identity and contact details, employment terms, attendance and leave records, salary and statutory information, banking details for payment, and any documents you upload.
Subscription data: the plan you selected, declared bank transfers and the receipts you upload.
Technical data: authentication sessions, audit records of sensitive actions, and error diagnostics.
Why we process it
To provide the service you subscribed to: calculating payroll, producing payslips and reports, and keeping your records available to you.
To administer your subscription, verify your bank transfers and communicate about your account.
To secure the service, investigate misuse and maintain the audit trail that payroll integrity depends on.
Retention
Payroll records are retained while your subscription is active and for as long as you need them for your own statutory record-keeping obligations.
Suspending or freezing an account never deletes your data. Deletion happens only on your instruction, or after termination in line with the terms.
Security
Each organisation's data is isolated at database level. Access is restricted by role and verified on the server.
Employee documents, payment receipts and generated payslips are stored privately and served only through short-lived signed links.
Sensitive actions — salary changes, payroll approval and locking, permission changes and payment approvals — are recorded in an audit trail that cannot be edited.
Sub-processors
We use infrastructure and email providers to host the service and deliver transactional messages. A current list is available from support on request.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, subject to the record-keeping obligations that apply to payroll.
Where the data concerns an employee of one of our customers, please contact that employer directly; we will support them in responding.
